Women's Wellness Weekend: May 23-26, 2025
Offering a Trauma-Informed approach means that I take special care to create a setting that feels safe for those who may be sensitive.
Everyone has experienced a certain level of trauma in their lives. With deep breathing, mindful movement and meditative practices, you can rewire your nervous system to support healing.
Certified in Restorative Yoga, I offer sessions specifically designed to support a sensitive nervous system. In a private session, you will receive the royal treatment of optimal comfort for your unique body. With delicate attention to detail, your nervous system will be gifted an opportunity to fully relax, and you will experience a felt sense of inner spaciousness.
I have specialized training leading yoga and meditation for people who suffer from addictions and substance abuse, houseless communities, incarcerated populations, chronic stress and anxiety, PTSD, and survivors of serious Trauma, specifically women. I use an intentionally sensitive style of speech and take care to avoid poses or movements that might lead to sensitive reactions.
Through a trauma-sensitive perspective, I offer meditative experiences that feel safe, stable and secure instead of scary and unpredictable. I take extra steps to give you plenty of options while you explore states of consciousness. Creating a distance between ourselves and our thoughts can offer a spaciousness that promotes healthy self-reflection.
Yoga Radiate's studio space is designed for a sense of safety and comfort. I offer supportive props, comfy cushions, cozy blankets, etc to promote as much relaxation as possible. There is always a variety of relaxing tea options available to support your cozy experience.
These offerings are not meant to replace traditional psychological counseling, psychiatric medications for PTSD, or cognitive behavioral therapies. They are intended to support your already existing medical approach to healing your past traumas. Please seek medical care if you do not already have a support team of trained medical professionals.
Through deep breathing, mindful movement and meditation, you can rewire your brain and nervous system to better cope with past trauma. It is very empowering to learn tools and techniques to help promote a sense of balance and healing as you move forward. I'm here to support in any way I can.
